There really isn't a more fashionable team in sports than the Yankees.
Yeah, the Raiders and Kings made their way into Ice Cube's closet and inevitably influenced '90s hip-hop fashion, Nelly often rocks a Cardinals jersey and Andre 3000 has been known to rep Braves gear. But the Yankees are on a different level. Jay-Z obviously knows this, because the Brooklyn native hooked up with the team to create the Blueprint 3/Yankees clothing line that dropped this week at Yankee Stadium.
The line, which keeps with the Bronx Bombers navy and white color scheme and manages to promote last year's Blueprint 3 at the same time, features fitted caps, hoodies and T-shirts, one of which resembles a home jersey with the number four and S. Carter on the back. We doubt Lou Gehrig would mind. We gotta say though, those red Blueprint 3 stripes are a little off-putting.
The apparel will be on sale exclusively at Yankee Stadium through Sept. 14 since it was created to commemorate the first official concert at the new stadium, when Jay comes through with Eminem. Better get this stuff while you can because we're guessing it'll go fast. After all, Jay-Z made the Yankees hat more famous than a Yankee can.
