The Clutch guy (that's you) obviously knows a thing or two about style. And he knows that the only thing that makes hot streetwear even hotter is a hot woman talking about it. So when we found out that Penthouse Pet Ryan Keely has an eye for men's fashion, not to mention a incredible body, we knew we had to talk to her. You now, for your benefit.
Keely, who's also a sexual education instructor and an actress, is currently on the cover of Australia-based street lifestyle magazine Acclaim with fellow Penthouse Pet Justine Joli. She's also modeling for streetwear brand Mishka. Then there's that Penthouse Pet thing. So who better to talk about the ways guys should dress?
How did the Acclaim shoot come about?
Ellen Stagg, a well-known commercial and fashion photographer who has also been doing erotic nudes for the past few years, was approached by Acclaim to shoot something for their "Friends" issue. She thought it would be really fun to shoot Justine Joli and I for the cover because Justine and I are very close friends in real life and Ellen is a close friend of ours too. So it was this amazing day where I got to shoot with two women who I really love and care about. Acclaim loved the images so much that they ended up doing three separate covers for the magazine and they're all special edition.
On one of those covers, you guys are rocking these cool Mishka painter's caps and you did an autograph signing for the mag at their New York store. You have also modeled for them. How did you hook up with those guys?
Mishka, Justine, Ellen and I have a strong relationship. They put out a calendar every year that Ellen shoots and Justine and I model for. This year will be my second as a Mishka calendar model so there's a lot of love.
So, what kind of style catches your eye when you're checking out a guy?
I am really into the “Mad Men” effect. Everything that I am looking at this year, all these companies are coming out with these designs that are a little bit preppy. I like that. I like a man to be put together but still have a funky edge. I don't want to date a guy in a suit, but a guy who knows how to wear a suit jacket? Yeah, absolutely! I am seeing a lot of fitted skinny suit jackets. And I have been seeing guys on the street rocking them with hoodies, gingham button-down shirts, good belt, good pants and great shoes.
One of the things that I think Mishka does amazingly well is that their outerwear is clean, crisp and sexy. A man who's pulled together is telling me he can afford to take me out for a cocktail. I like a man with a job [laughs]. A man who can figure out how to wear a cardigan is an amazing thing too.
What about shoes? I know women always talk about what a man's shoes say about him.
There are so many different kinds of sneakers but my current obsession is skateboarder Keith Hufnagel's Huf sneakers. He has this whole line of sneakers that are very minimalist. They're sharp and edgy in terms of shape but the colors and the designs are very pared down. I think that a little bit more restraint is what's going on in men's fashion now and I am really feeling it.

We heard you're getting ready to work on a horror film. What's up with that?
I'm actually not allowed to talk about the horror movie. All I can say is that we're shooting in a very creepy location that has a history of being haunted, so I'm nervous and excited. I can tell you I am playing a sexy nurse, but that's all I am allowed to say.
Well, we that's all we need to hear. Where's your career going from here?
I have been doing a few more projects that have been letting me stretch my wings. Being a naked model is pretty much the best job you can ever have. Dressing up and prancing around in my underwear is pretty amazing, but it's really fun to stretch my abilities in other directions. I love working in adult film and I love the work that I do. I mean my job in adult is pretty soft-core, so I don't see any reason for me to stop doing that any time soon. But I am really enjoying the fact that I have all of these other projects so that I don't get bored.
