I know people already complain about the length of the Academy Awards. They whine about all the stupid categories that no one cares about and would probably want to choke someone who suggested adding more. Screw those people, because I've got a new category that should be added to the long list: Best Gif. I don't mean the best gif made from any source, but the best gif made from best picture nominees. Thanks to obsessive fans on Tumblr, there's no shortage of gifs from this year's huge crop of best gif nominees, which I've pulled together below. "The King's Speech" seems to be the likely winner of real Oscar for Best Picture, but when it comes to the Best Gif from a Best Picture nominee, "True Grit" runs away with it.
