California death metal outfit Suicide Silence has just unleashed upon the world their latest aural assault, "Witness the Addiction," which we have for you right here. The track features the band's trademark growling screeches--a description that applies not just to Mitch Lucker's vocals, but to the sonic wall of reeling guitars--chainsaw riffs and artillery gun percussion. But for this track, the Cali five-piece enlisted a little help from a friend: metal titan Jonathan Davis of Korn.
Clearly influenced by Davis' group, "Witness" seamlessly transitions from jagged pounding into a lurching metal grind once the Korn frontman jumps in, creating a refrain that wouldn't be out of place on Remember Who You Are. To hear this track and even more glorious violence for your ears, pick up Suicide Silence's third album, The Black Crown, out Tuesday (July 12). Just warn your neighbors.
