We knew the peace Meek Mill brought to the roundtable yesterday wouldn't last. Today the "Hottest MCs In The Game" list told MTV News' Hip-Hop Brain Trust that Jay-Z is the sixth hottest MC in the game. Last year he became the rapper with the most Top 10 Billboard Hits, his "Watch The Throne" tour with Kanye West grossed more than $48 million and he is number one on Forbes' Hip-Hop's Top 20 Earners list. The argument isn't whether Jay-Z deserves to be on the list, the answer to that is obvious--it's whether or not he deserves a much higher ranking. While some of the experts felt he rode shotgun to Kanye in 2011 and his solo albums are much better than Watch The Throne, others felt his phenomenal year should bump him up on the list. Either way, for now, Jay-Z stands as the sixth hottest MC in the game.
