Maurice Sendak, author of the legendary children's book "Where The Wild Things Are," has died at age 83. He was a groundbreaking author around the same time as Dr. Seuss---whereas Dr. Seuss came up with whacked-out rhyming acid trips, Sendak's works were much bleaker, trying to tell it like it is without straight-up depressing the kids reading them.

Since we were pretty much raised on "Wild Things," it's all we can think about today. So we're going to celebrate Sendak and the book's legacy in the most Clutch way we could think of (not counting boob-centric ideas, because we still have some class): eight pro athletes who look like the beasts from "Where The Wild Things Are."

While the "The Avengers" blew up the box office this past weekend, a group of graffiti artists painted an Avengers-inspired mural in South Bronx. The six-man crew is 4burners, consisting of Gusto (an MTV man), Sen2, Deem, Logek, Owns, Rubin and Dasic, the first five of which hail from New York.

"We've been painting together as a crew for three years, and are one of the last few crews that are truly representing New York as a focal point for graffiti culture," Gusto told us.

Each member of the crew painted a different character and molded their piece around the look and feel of the character. The six frames frames join together like a comic book. The Hulk, Captain America, Thor, Iron Man, Hawkeye and Black Widow are represented on the  on wall at Faile Street and Randall Ave, South Bronx.

Click on for a couple more pictures of 4burners's fresh mural and 25 more impressive pieces of superhero graffiti.

Although we actually know a scant amount about UFOs, that hasn't prevented mere humans from devoting scores of books, movies, museums and even tattoos to the enigmatic flying objects. (Although if we knew a lot about UFOs, they would just be called "flying objects.") Our lack of information leaves a lot of room for interpretations of these mystical alien ships. Have a look at our favorite body art takes on these spacecrafts. Be forewarned, the aliens in many of these depictions seem to be abducting an earthling, either for torture or to attend some cool space party.

In January, MTV News interviewed artist Sam Spratt about the celebrity reaction to his digital paintings. His portraits, like the one above of Ron Swanson, went viral online to a degree where Rainn Wilson noticed and used Spratt's portrait of Dwight Schrute as his Twitter profile picture. We here at MTV Clutch were so inspired by his work that we decided to create a photo gallery post and bless all of you with his artistry. When we contacted Spratt, he was nice enough to offer to answer some more of our own questions. Read on to learn about how women react to his profession, what he likes most and least about Brooklyn and how he'd style a family portrait for Jay-Z, Beyoncé and baby Blue Ivy. Also, see some of Sam's portraits featuring Katy Perry, Adraina Lima, Rihanna, Kanye West and more.

Inspired by a Reddit submission of a maddened Jack Nicholson from "The Shining," we decided to scan the web to see what kind of scary street art tortures unsuspecting or easily scared souls around the world. We were not disappointed by the results.

The submission was titled, "Because some graffiti you don't want to turn the corner and see at 3 a.m." Pretty much all of the pieces below meet that criteria. From the profound to perverted, graffiti to wheatpaste, dark to demented, from all around the world--Berlin, Madrid, Los Angeles, Sydney, New York--check out some of the best of scary street art.

Kevin Kirkpatrick, a self-employed special effects makeup artist in Hollywood, has had a pretty good career. He's done work for movies such as "Sucker Punch" and " Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides." And yet, this blog, and we're willing to bet every other blog, has never mentioned him.

Today that changes. Because today we're not only mentioning Kirkpatrick, but getting on our hands and knees repeating "We're not worthy." And it's all due to Beavis and Butt-Head. Late last night Kirkpatrick posted the photos above and below of two life-like B&B sculptures he did for the "Conjoined 2" art show opening in L.A. this weekend.

These horrifying monstrosities are mostly made of silicone, with acrylic eyes and teeth. The hair, of course, is from humans. The shirts? Those are just shirts. And the nightmares you'll be having tonight about Beavis and Butt-Head attacking you in your sleep? Those will be as realistic and horrifying as the look Beavis is giving you in the third photo below.

We wonder how celebrities spend Thanksgiving. Do they load up on grub, enter a turkey coma and pass out on a couch while the Detroit Lions get spanked mercilessly? (Not this year!) Do they have the same cachet when they sit down amongst family at the dinner table that they do in everyday life? We've got no clue. We do know that some of hip-hop's biggest record labels are kind of like family, so we decided to mess around with a few iconic Thanksgiving scenes to see what Turkey Day would look like if they took the place of the original works' subjects.

Artist Kyle Hilton started working on a series of paper dolls based on his favorite TV characters, starting with the cast of "Arrested Development." He credits the buzz his work has created to "a lot of really nice people and what I'm guessing can only be the magic of the internet." Most recently, Hilton was asked to create a series of dolls for the cast of "Breaking Bad." That's reason enough for us to interview the paper doll wizard and to get a peek behind the curtain.
