Springtime is a great time of year if you are a sports fan. It's even a better time if you are a fan of sports video games. You have your pick of several different professional sports leagues going on at the same time and all at different stages of their season. Whether it's baseball, soccer, basketball, MMA, hockey and of course your dad's favorite pastime, golf. With so many sports video game titles to choose from by just as many publishers, your good friends at MTV Clutch went to "work" to pick out the best video game in each sport. We figured that this is a good time of year to stop killing demon vampires, open the windows and give your thumbs something else to stay active with. So for those of you who would rather make free throws from your couch or eat sausage links rather than play on them, sit back and check out the titles we liked the best for the spring season.

Lou Ferrigno, "World of Warcraft" and Online Schools teamed up to create a video about relationships that may or may not be sexually suggestive, depending how you interpret the Incredible Hulk holding a pug warmly against his chest while feeding a stuffed deer that rocks back and forth, all while discussing sex amongst "World of Warcraft" players.

"A survey of 'World of Warcraft' players found that 74 percent are dating other gamers," Ferrigno says. "Meanwhile, 43 percent of non-gamers are still single."

The video is apparently part of a series dubbed "The More You FerrigKnow." Great play on words and so incredibly random. We love the video, but they're setting the bar for absurdity pretty high already. By the end of this series we might see Lou Ferrigno in Vegas with a harem of prostitutes, a machete and a face full of white powder telling us about contraception.

Convential wisdom says no--gamers do not get girls. It says they decline most social invitations to stay home, play games, eat Cheetos, talk s*** to 10-to-13-year-old  boys on headsets and generally fail to perform normal human activities that would distract them from playing a video game. I'm not a gamer but I've had calls ignored by some for weeks at a time after the release of a new must-have title.

That's my image (read: stereotype) of a gamer. But that's a pretty raw generalization. It's also not necessarily true that gamers don't get girls. The narrower question posed by the infographic is, how does online gaming stack up against online dating? In reaching a conclusion, the chart points to a number of figures highlighting that the online gaming world is populated by women who have a tendency to become attracted to fellow gamers, many of them who travel long distances to meet a lover. This doesn't mean that a lot of gamer guys get girls. Absolutely, unequivocally: no. It just means that some do, and do it by meeting chicks while playing online. Now that's called a win-win.

One of the most amazing parts of the technological revolution we're living in (besides ubiquitous porn) is the fact that technology that once required an entire "entertainment system" is now DIY and can be housed on a smartphone.

With all the possibilities afforded by these advancements, where does a lot of the nerdy energy go? Fanboy video games, natch. The new "Kanye Zone" web game is just the most recent example: 8-bit video game remixes feed our insatiable demand for new ways to devour pop culture snacks. Like, YOU GET TO CONTROL ZACK MORRIS. That is almost too much awesomeness to handle. Revisiting our favorite film scenes and TV characters in some alternate "Golden Axe" universe, that is technological and cultural advancement, my friends! So in celebration, here are seven movies and TV shows that got the retro video game treatment. Read on to see how the pixelated avatars compare to the real thing. Read More...

Boston Red Sox first baseman Adrian Gonzalez is one hell of a ball player. In 2011, AGon posted 27 homers, 117 RBIs and an impressive .338 batting average all the while making it look way too easy for us mere mortals. When we got wind that Gonzo is this year's cover athlete for the highly acclaimed video game MLB 12-The Show, we were hardly surprised.

MTV Clutch caught up with Boston's strong man along with New York Yankees pitcher CC Sabathia at the Sony Style store in Midtown Manhattan. Along with checking out the new title, we had a chance to speak to both of them about the video game, being in the room with their "rival" and even superheroes.

Two days later and we still have Super Bowl (commercial) fever. We've been on YouTube for days feeding our hunger for awesome Super Bowl ads new and old. And as we traveled further down the rabbit hole, we stumbled across some wonderfully over-the-top commercials from the '80s and early '90s--most of them promoting the SUCKIEST board games ever.

It seems as if every board game company from 1980 to 1996 spent 4 percent of their budget on developing the game and 96 percent on coming up with a kick-ass commercial. And the best part is how they all end with some snotty kid exclaiming, "I win!" But they never show the real outcome, which is one smug, happy child and three other kids crying and/or throwing pieces across the room.

Well today, everyone wins because we're rolling out the nostalgia trunk and have 22 awesome board game commercials from our childhood (or even before some of your were born).

MTV Clutch just sat down with the epitome of today's modern gentleman, The Old Spice Guy. Isaiah Mustafa is more than just a deodorant shill though. He started at wide receiver for the Arizona State Sun Devils, trained with several NFL teams, voices various video games and is a featured character in EA's new "Need For Speed The Run." Now he's traveling around the country giving out gifts as Manta Claus and will be hosting the "Funniest Commercials of the Year: 2011" on TBS this Wednesday. Isaiah took a little break to chat with us about his love of video games and what he's got on his list for Christmas.

Fighting hordes of zombies with rusty tools is fun, but even the most hard-core gamer needs a break from fiction by taking a trip to the sports world. Since most gamers don't have the physical stamina necessary to participate in a pickup game, sports video games have become the next best thing, and 2011 has been a better than average year for the field. There haven't been new leaps into unfamiliar territory, but the classics managed some dramatic improvements with interactive gameplay and added jaw-dropping graphics. This is all evidenced in the exceptionally competitive sports categories at this year's Video Game Awards and our top 10 list below.
