Dustin "The Diamond" Poirier couldn't have planned it any better. Just as he prepares to fight in the main event of "UFC on Fuel" tonight against "Korean Zombie" Chan-Sung Jung, a movie documenting his rise in MMA is making its rounds. "Fightville" is being given the thumbs-up from MMA fans and moviegoers alike. Pretty awesome if you're a 23-year-old who was running with the wrong crowd just three years ago. Now, Poirier is inching closer to a UFC title shot and is being noticed in the streets as the guy in that MMA movie. Before he steps in the cage to go zombie hunting, Poirier sat down with MTV Clutch to discuss his movie debut, featherweight title aspirations and if Tuesday night will be the MMA version of "The Walking Dead."

Tim Burton's films balance absurdism with unsettling imagery, so it's no surprise he's a (crazy-coiffed) godhead to film students across the country. Which is why mtvU hooked up a lucky CalArts (Burton's alma mater) student for "#Ask" to interview the prolific director about his latest movie, an adaptation of the late '60s TV series "Dark Shadows." The film of the same name looks to carry on Burton's tradition, fusing vampire elements with disco days, and features longtime collaborator Johnny Depp again donning white makeup like a new Beetlejuice.

In this preview of the interview, Burton addresses a longstanding legend regarding himself and a California Institute of the Arts dorm door, a myth that's been whispered throughout the halls of the school for decades. Burton explains how his job as a carpenter who didn't know carpentry gives credence to the tale. As for the answer, well, he's unsurprisingly cryptic.

Check it out, and be sure to catch the full interview today, May 7 on mtvU.

Iggy Azalea isn't the only Aussie out there making waves in hip-hop. Rapper/Singer extraordinaire Drapht hails from the West Coast (of Australia that is) and will be making his big U.S. debut with the release of his album Life Of Riley on May 8. Drapht already has his homeland in his pocket (Life of Riley is Certified Gold) and he's heading out here to do the same.

Drapht is known to drop some great pop culture references in his lyrics--like in his latest music video "Sing It (The Life Of Riley)"--so it's appropriate that he used TV as a reference when we asked for his Clutch Commandments. From "The Sopranos" to "Breaking Bad" and "The Wire," Drapht broke down the 10 commandments he's gleaned from watching great TV series.

The big winner of "Think Like a Man"--which knocked "The Hunger Games" off its perch after a four-week run at number one-- is Steve Harvey, who made a number one movie that made his own book the centerpiece of the thing ("Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man"). Now that is some serious cross/self-promotion. But the real big winner, to us at least, is comedian Kevin Hart. "Think Like a Man" is an ensemble style movie and Hart, as you would expect, plays the excitable, funny man. Based on his stand-up, that's pretty much Kevin Hart in real life (say it with your chest!). Meagan Good is pretty easy on the eyes but we could have used even more screen time from Hart. And what a year for the comedian. Earlier this year he won MVP at the NBA All-Star Weekend Celebrity Game, throw in a role in a number one movie and  all he needs to do for the remainder of 2012 is release another Comedy Central special and he'll win the just-invented Clutch Triple Crown. Here's MTV Clutch's Check-In duo talking with Hart at the All-Star Weekend.

ActionFest 2012 just concluded in Asheville, North Carolina, and one of their guests of honor was Gina Carano. She got her start kicking ass as an MMA fighter, continued kicking ass in the recent action film "Haywire" and will continue to do so with her new movie currently in production, "In the Blood." Carano has made such an impression on the world in such a short amount of time that ActionFest presented her the first ever Chick Norris Award, naming her the best female action star. MTV Clutch contributor Action Flick Chick got a chance to speak with Carano about all of this and more at ActionFest. Check it out!

Like MTV's reality show "Caged," the new documentary "Fightville" looks at small-town cage fighters in Louisiana to uncover the next generation of MMA, as well as the sport's struggle for legitimacy. While MMA is no longer underground, it's still met with confusion by many in the over-35 set. Movies like "Fightville" and "Warrior" are helping propel the sport into mainstream acceptance though. MMA's ever-growing list of celebrity fans, including everyone from Rihanna to Justin Bieber, certainly helps, too. By following Dustin Poirier's rise from backwoods brawler to the UFC, "Fightville" is the type of movie MMA buffs will eat up and non-fans will find as the perfect introduction.

MTV Clutch sat down with Michael Tucker, who co-directed the film with his wife, to get his take on MMA's evolution and seeing Poirier fight before he became Dustin "The Diamond."

Prolific New Orleans rapper and noted herb enthusiast Curren$y took a break from recording a thousand mixtapes to check in with The Check-In for some high  jinks (emphasis not ours). We're willing to bet hosts Jeff and Eric Rosenthal are the first to ask Curren$y about his stance on global warming (he'd run for the Green Party, natch). By the way, his climate change solution involves ceiling fans and grilled cheeses, so get on that, Mr. Gore.

But Curren$y's not just taking a stand against global warming. He's also vehemently opposed to using Visine, and trust us, his reasoning sort of makes sense. The quick-witted MC even agreed to do some improv comedy (and called out Jeff on screwing up the premise). Looks like someone wants a piece of Carrie Brownstein's music-sketch turf. So yeah, basically, there's nothing this guy can't do (except give up his Roc-A-Fella chain).

Remember to pick up Curren$y's upcoming album The Stoned Immaculate when it drops on June 5.

For mtvU's new show "#ASK," Odd Future fans got a chance to submit questions for frontman Tyler, The Creator and Chelsea, a Manchester Community College student, ask them in a one-on-one interview. The slightly awkward interrogation took place at an Odd Future pop-up store in New York, where you could buy Earl Sweatshirt sweatshirts and cat print shirts that are actually pajama tops. Tyler's wearing a cast throughout the interview--nobody says why and nobody asks. They're too concerned with inquiring about the cockroach-eating rapper's biggest fears (which obviously aren't bugs) and his favorite foods (also not bugs). There's also a brief mention about Odd Future's new TV show "Loiter Squad" on Adult Swim.

A few things you'll be surprised by: Tyler hates dogs, loves cats (for good reason,) he's deathly afraid of possums and he's not Odd Future's best dancer. Watch and learn:

Standup comic Aziz Ansari was at Central Park first-thing Monday morning to mow the lawn. His "Parks And Recreation" character, Tom Haverford, would've ditched an event this early, but Ansari showed up ready to ride a giant lawn mower across the park's Sheep Meadow (sorry, does not actually contain sheep). He teamed up with the real life parks and recreation crew to do the ceremonial first cutting, which happens annually one week before the meadows and ballparks of Central Park officially open to the public.

Once he finished his chores, MTV Clutch got the chance to ask him a few questions.

Aren't you glad you worked so hard at your comedy career so you  could cut somebody else's grass?(laughs) Yeah, it's quite an honor to mow the lawn.

"MTV Spring Break" brings out a who's who from "Real World" past and present. Some are just out to soak in some sun rays and party while others actually do some work (and then party). When we spotted "Real World: Cancun" alums Emilee and Jonna volunteering their time to assist with some of the spring break activities, we couldn't help but run up on them to see how life has been treating the pretty young things. It's been three years since their wild romp in Mexico and we caught up with the girls inside a pimped out cabana to get the goods on creepy Canadians, what life is like now and which "Real World" cast would they have liked to join.
